The summer edition of Wild Willy’s Extreme Enduro roared into life this weekend at Tong, near Bradford, and it did not disappoint. Under glorious summer skies, riders and fans alike were treated to an unforgettable afternoon of fast pace racing, dramatic twists, and non-stop excitement from the first lap to the chequered flag.
Triple D team rider Burts Crayston was on fire, securing an impressive 3rd place finish after a thrilling battle at the front. With “smiles for miles” written all over his face, Burts delivered one of his most exciting performances to date, keeping the crowd on their toes and for the most part, the competition in the dust.
Through the race the lead swapped repeatedly between Burts, Jack Price and Mitch Brightmore. Each lap brought fresh drama as the three riders pushed their limits over Tong’s notorious technical sections.

It all came down to the wire. On the final lap, a back marker slipped into Burts’ path on a challenging section, costing him vital seconds. This made way for Mitch to take the top step and gave Jack Price the opportunity to seize second place, leaving Burts to cross the line in third. Despite the late setback, his performance drew plenty of raucous cheers from the packed hillside, recognising the skill and pace of all the riders to be fair, throughout the race.
The atmosphere at Tong was electric, with big crowds lining the course and creating a festival-like buzz. From the drop of the flag, the racing was fierce, unpredictable, and always entertaining. Spectators were treated to awesome climbs, fast wooded sections, high speed jumps and the sheer grit of riders refusing to give an inch.

Once again Wild Willy’s Summer Extreme proved why it’s a must-watch event for enduro fans.
As ever, thank you to the organisers, marshals and sponsors who give their time to make it such a great event for riders of all levels.
The Triple D team can't wait to be back at the Parkwood Off-Road Centre (aka Tong) next year when winter conditions will take hold and bring a whole set of new challenges to the course.
