Standing up to the Edge at the Hard Enduro Series, Spaunton Quarry

This weekend’s Edge Offroad Hard Enduro Series event at Spaunton Quarry near York delivered thrilling race action in near-perfect conditions. With plenty of dry weather leading up to the race, the trails were in prime shape; dry, dusty, and fast - an ideal battleground for riders and great conditions for spectators.

A Class Act!

Now we might be a little biased here at Triple D, but the standout performer of the weekend was none other than our own Burts Crayston who dominated from start to finish.

On Saturday, Burts was untouchable in the Hard Sprint race, setting a blistering pace and finishing with the fastest lap.

Ready to go again on Sunday he took a commanding win in the Extreme Race, showing off his technical riding ability and endurance across the demanding and steep terrain.

After a few setbacks at recent events, Burts was head and shoulders above the competition and was a class act over the weekend. With solid performances all around and a course that kept both riders and spectators on their toes as they peered through the dust, Spaunton Quarry proved once again why it’s a favourite on the Edge Offroad events calendar.
