When the first 2026 KTM 990 Duke R rolls into the Triple D showroom, we can’t exactly keep quiet about it.
Yes - it’s already sold.
No - that doesn’t mean you can’t come and see it.
And you absolutely should.
The Duke line has always lived by the Naked philosophy - strip away the fairings, leave the important bits on show and let the bike do the talking. No plastic armour, no hiding the mechanics. Just raw metal, sharp lines and tonnes of attitude.
The KTM 2026 990 Duke R takes that idea and turns it up a notch. Aggressive stance, race-bred design and an overall presence that basically says “I’m not here to be sensible.”
Under the attitude, there’s proper engineering too: the R version’s parallel twin LC8c motor produces 130 PS and 103 Nm of torque. Fully adjustable WP Apex front suspension shock, adjustable handlebars and full TFT dash means full adjustability and fancy tech is included.
Nicknamed The Punisher - when you see it in person, you’ll understand why.
The 2026 KTM 990 Duke R from £12,499 OTR.
Sitting at 947cc, the 990 Duke R lives in that sweet middleweight zone. It’s lighter than the big’uns, but still delivers the kind of punch that makes your inner child start making questionable plans.
Packed with features including ride-by-wire throttle, selectable ride modes, lean-sensitive ABS, and traction control. Quickshifter capability, aggressive ergonomics and a short wheelbase keep it feeling tight, direct and properly alive.
For £12,499, it’s a serious bit of kit without wandering into superbike money. For this you’re getting:

The wider KTM Duke range has built its reputation on one simple rule - no boring bikes allowed. From smaller capacity street machines right through to full-fat monsters, Dukes have always been about sharp styling, aggressive riding position and engines that feel far bigger than their numbers suggest. They’re lightweight, punchy and designed to make even a short ride feel like an event.
The 990 Duke R doesn’t break that tradition - it fits in perfectly.
Built to be ridden hard, looked at twice and talked about more.
See It Now. Ride It Soon.
The first 990 Duke R bike that's landed is already sold, but we’ve got it on display so you can come and have a proper look. And good news (if you can be a bit patient), our demo bike is arriving late March. That’s when the real fun can start.
If you’re even slightly curious - pop down and see it for yourself. The photos are one thing, but in person the Duke R will make you drool.
The Triple D Motosport team are on hand, kettle on, ready to talk Dukes, power figures and bad decisions.
The Punisher is here. You’ve been warned.
